Pilaf with vegetables

Cooking Method

Soak the 3αλφα Carolina rice in cold water for half an hour. Then rinse the rice very well in a strainer under running water. Add the lemon juice over the washed rice.

In a pan, add the butter and sauté the rice. Then add water and allow to boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes with the lid of the pot covered.

We don’t stir at all.

When holes are formed on the surface of the rice and we see no water at all, the rice is ready.

Open the pot and cover with a clean, cotton towel for five minutes.

Finally, add the boiled vegetables, salt, pepper, stir and serve.
